SUSSEX, NJ (June 5)……..Recovery Sports Grill, a sports-themed restaurant chain with a local restaurant at 2537 State Route 9, Ballston Spa, New York, Halmar International, Fox Racing Shocks, VP Racing Fuels, Cedar Peaks, andJMMB have signed on as major sponsors of The Big Show 9, a midweek special racing program set for Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, New York. The announcement was made today by event promoter and champion dirt track Modified race car driver Brett Hearn.

 $1,000 To Win “Pick-the-Quick” Fan Contest At The Big Show 9

Super DIRTcar Modified Series 100-Lap $10,000-To-Win Championship Race Meet

SUSSEX, NJ (May 29)……..Let’s face it, not every fan likes the time trial format used to set the fields for the Super DIRTcar Modified Series qualifying races. Some of them even arrive late at the track just to avoid watching time trials. But what if you had the chance to win $1,000? Would you come to the track early enough to enter the unique “Pick-the-Quick” Fan Contest and perhaps go home later that evening $1,000 richer?

Spectator gates for The Big Show 9 Super DIRTcar Modified Series race meet at Albany-Saratoga Speedway (Malta, New York) on Tuesday, June 27, will open at 4:00 pm. Fans are encouraged to come out early and enjoy the attractions. Besides sampling all the refreshments available, several souvenir trailers offering a wide variety of racing-oriented items will be on site. Between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, fans can also take part in the “Pick-the-Quick” contest by selecting the five fastest drivers from the group time trials. The choices do not have to be in order. There’s a $1,000 jackpot to be divided among any fans who name all five fastest drivers on their contest entry. Scoring four out of five fast timers earns a pit pass upgrade (Minors winning a pit pass upgrade must be accompanied by an adult.) Deadline for entries will be 6:00 pm.  

The Big Show 9, for big-block DIRTcar Modifieds, will include group time trials, qualifying heat and consolation races and the 100-lap feature race paying $10,000 to the winner.

The companion support division will be The Big Crate Show presented by Fox Shocks for Sportsman cars, with the field evenly divided for a pair of 20-lap feature races. Each with its own payout including $1,000 to each winner. There’s a $250 bonus for winning cars equipped with Fox Shocks

General admission for The Big Show 9 is $25 Top row reserved seating in the stands is $35 and VIP seating at $75 and $90. Reserved seats may be purchased by going to www.thebigshow9.com. Pit admission with DIRTcar or Albany-Saratoga membership is $30; non-members $35.  Pits open at 3:00 pm.
